Behold, the winter is past … the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come (Song of Solomon 2:11-12).

Spring surely is a very welcomed sight after the winter: the birds chirping, the flowers budding, the refreshing rain, and the warmth of the sun’s rays. In all of the contrasts of spring, Father has provided us with some wonderful lessons.

Spring is the lesson of Father’s love, provision and care. It is the account of His faithfulness. It is the expression of His value of us.

Spring is also such a precious picture of resurrection. After the dead of winter, comes the budding life of spring, as though all of creation has been awakened.

Though one day we shall all lie down in the cold winter of death, we shall also spring forth in the very life of our Lord – all in due season.

Bask in the beauty and bounty of spring; and all of the wonderful lessons that it teaches.
